Everyone say yes; sometimes we need to make a 3d model of something but there are complicated organic shapes in the world, when a CAD modeling isn´t enought,
Is scan time!, but all this machines are so expensive and difficult to use so here is when Hypr3D comes in and you can achive results like this:
The cool part is as you can see, it also take the textures, wireframe and the point cloud, additionally with only your browser you can spin, move and zoom your model.
Hypr3D is basically a free! (just sign up) application on the cloud that "anyone with a digital camera can create original 3D models that they can view online, share, download, or even print in 3D."
For upload you can use pictures or video, in this bicycle helmet i choose 30 seconds of video with my flipcam, but you don´t need a professional camera for this also you can use your phone, the resul t only change the detail and qualitty that you want, but i think that is close enought with one or other.
Also you can download a High Resolution Surface Mesh (STL) or HighResolution Point Cloud (PLY) or both and more extension files
.This one downloadable here: Bicycle helmet

How to load HDRI on Creo Parametric

HDR or HDRI (Hight Dynamic Range Image) are speacial type of images that have 4 times more information than a normal image 32 bits against 8 bits; they are so important when we want to make any realistic render on any 3d system, also, you need to know that not all the hdri files should be used on background as well, some of them just have lights information and we shouldn´t put them on the background (because you will see blur lights as background), most of them that we see as a real environment comes with .jpg, .tiff or .hdr itself file that would be the background picture of our renders,. But yo know how to add them to Creo?, With just two screen shots i show you how
Just see this pictutorial say all:
1.Render/
2.Scene/
3.Lights/
4.Environment/
5.Clic on the picture/
6.Load your .hdr

As PTC say in http://communities.ptc.com/servlet/JiveServlet/download/149015-19664/4859_DYK_Feature_Rendering_WP_EN.pdf on Best Practice #1:
"A capabilitiy called image-based lighting (IBL) takes the guesswork out of lighting for novices. Using IBL, the user wraps a high-dynamic range (HDR) image around the model. HDR is an image format used for settings such as rooms or courtyards, and includes the correct lighting and color to generate the right reflections. The HDR image becomes the background for the model, which eliminates the need for users to manually position light sources. By using an HDR image, novices can instantly take advantage of expert lighting for use in their renderings. HDR images are easy to find, as there are millions of these images available for purchase or download via the Internet."

Free download scenes for rendering

Always when i want to render a product i prefer a full white space for a clean result; hightlighting the product, the default scenes of Creo are pretty good but the only scene with all the room white have hard lights that sometimes doesn´t make a good result and also on the other hand creating or modifing the room, lights and scene for every model takes a lot of my time; recently i notice that we can create and save our environments scenes containing the lighting, room, and advanced rendering environment effects (.scn extension file) for use in other cad models.

White reflections rectangular scene

White soft cylindrical scene
So expanding possibilities for easy rendering check the Creo ARX scenes.

Yes indeed the first complete database of material for the Creo render ARX (Advanced Rendering extension is under construction and you can be part of that or just get your favorite materials for your photorealistic images.
Is a Facebook community made for download, create, collaborate and share free materials and enviroments for photorealistic render images; specially made for Creo CAD software, usefull on ARX(Advanced Rendering Extension) and PhotoRender.
The community is also open for share any information related with Creo rendering, such as tutorials, HDRI images, graphics, textures, your renders, tips & tricks and news. Also Pro/ENGINEER old files would work.
(Material metal steel with diamond texture)
For now are only materials with the .dmt extension that creo and Pro/ENGINEER use, some of them with textures included, but this page will bring facilities for everyone renders and creations and will be gate for social development around it.
So that it´s let´s go and get your graphics materials for Creo ARX and put yours here:
